Jerk Shrimp Dipped in our Sweet Tropical Sauce

Turn up the heat with these bold, island-style Kajani Roots Jerk Shrimp. Marinated in our award-winning jerk seasoning blend and kissed with rich tropical flavor, every bite delivers smoky spice, savory depth, and a subtle sweet mango-pineapple finish. Quickly seared to perfection for that beautiful jerk char, these shrimps stay juicy, tender, and packed with authentic Caribbean flavor — perfect for bowls, tacos, salads, or straight off the skillet.

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 5 to 6 tbsp Kajani Roots Jerk Seasoning Blend
  • 1 cup Oil (olive oil or vegetable oil)
  • 1 lb. Raw Shrimp (Clean, peeled & deveined, tail on or off)
  • 1 Frying Pan / Skillet
  • (Optional) Kajani Roots Sweet Tropical Sauce

 

Directions:

  1. Prep, rinse, and pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel
  2. In a mixing bowl, add shrimp and 1/4 cup oil
  3. Add the Kajani Roots Jerk Seasoning Blend to the shrimp
  4. Mix thoroughly- Toss shrimp until fully coated in seasoning and oil
  5. Heat the skillet or frying pan on medium to high heat for about 1 minute
  6. Add oil to the skillet
  7. Pour in the remaining cup of oil, spreading it evenly across the pan
  8. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1 to 2 minutes on the first side until lightly charred
  9. Flip and finish cooking on the other side for about 1 minute (Shrimp should reach an internal temperature of 145°F).
  10. Optional: add a touch of Kajani Roots Sweet Tropical Sauce for dipping.
